Galveston Pier

We went fishin' Friday night/Saturday morning in Galveston. That was my '07 New Year's resolution: to do more fishin'. Caleb did very good. He was all serious and looked like a pro. He caught a few Hardheads and Trout. We saw a few sharks that were reeled in too.

JOHN BROWN

The 5th grade put on a museum of famous people from the Civil War Era. Caleb was John Brown. He tried to radically end slavery, but was caught by General Lee when he tried to invade Harper's Ferry, Virginia. John Brown was the man that sparked the Civil War and the end of slavery.

Bubba decided to shave the beard off after the project.

Got them to decrease my property taxes by over $6000! It's just a game. Why doesn't everyone do it? They just change percentages in the system until there is a mutual agreement...Has nothing to do with the actual property value.

Down with the Tax Man

Getting ready for my property appraisal conference on Monday, to fight "the man". With all the pictures and documentation of everything that needs repaired, they can't possibly win. The bad part is that it makes me realize how many things I need to fix.

The smart cars are all over Houston now.

Bedtime Snacktime

Little Miss 4 A.M. at 7:30

She was wide awake at 4 a.m. I couldn't make myself wake up.
So, I gave in and we played and watched Tom & Jerry. Then, we get in the car about 7:45 and guess who gets a nap.
...and the sandals are really proportional to her body. They just look like moon boots in the picture.

Friendswood Rain Forest/Wetland/Creek Nature Trails

On Saturday, Andi, Munckin, Keith and I went on an excursion through some trails in Friendswood. It was very peaceful way back in the sticks. Munchkin didn't make it through the whole trip without sleep.
